(some) people are outrageous.
people who lie and cheat at will, doing whatever they'd like whenever they'd like, simply for the instant gratification. people who take advantage of good, caring people...purely to gain more self-worth...to get the fabricated feeling of importance due to their lack of personal significance. people who move through life pretending as though they care for the feelings of others...then quickly dismissing these "others" as practically meaningless blips on the radar and moving on to their next emotionless conquest.
these people...the people who live under false impressions and carefully constructed glass houses...will always meet their downfall. the fallacies will emerge and the glass will break, and all you'll have left is the guilt and shame...and the shell that's left of yourself. and then you can try and pick yourself up and rebuild...without any of the people you left in your destructive wake; the people that might end up being all you had in the first place. and then you can watch those people from afar as they thrive on the strength that was given to them after you, and all of the other people like you, left them for dead.
i hate people like you. i hate that you hurt my friends and other people who are good and well-meaning and are only looking for a friend or someone to care about them and treat them like they matter. instead, the good people wind up scared, hurt and jaded; afraid to move forward in fear that everyone is as their last experience was. good people deserve happiness, and i know so many that are just the opposite because of these terrible people who feed off of the good people...the vulnerable ones who want to give someone a chance because they seem "worth it". i never want to hear about people like that again...unfortunately, it seems the world is littered with them.
it is difficult to know who to trust and let into your life. all i hope is that my friends and others who have had experiences like this (including myself) realize what is truly important to you and that you do (and always will) have people who care for you and love you. but above all, realize that you should never, ever give up hope on the people who ARE worth it; people who will make you realize that you went through all of the bad ones to help you see how amazing and special the good one is. that day will come, and then all of the bad will be forgotten, an afterthought overtaken by all of the successes and happiness that your life has found.
